Syptom Checker
Our symptom checker uses state-of-the-art artificial intelligence and machine learning both to create right questions for our questionnaire and to asses the symptoms. But this would never be possible without human input and supervision of real people such as data scientists, software developers and physicians. When you answer the questions regarding your symptoms, risk factors, self-tests results or demographics, the symptom checker will use sophisticated statistical algorithms to perform diagnostic reasoning. This way we are able to come up with a list of likely conditions and relevant observations to verify.
Of course. You can use it in any country in the world. You just have to be connected to the internet and be a Swiss resident with an insurance. Just bear in mind that cost of calling a doctor might vary according to your location and that some services such as medicines pick-ups in a pharmacy or home delivery won’t be available.
There are almost no restrictions. You only need an internet access and be more than 18 years old. MyHealthCheck is not an health insurance solution, it provides you with a service to better manage your health.
Currently, MyHealthCheck is not intended for assessment of children’s health and can only be used by people who are at least 18 years old.
You can use it from the comfort of your home or on the go to check on your health conditions. But let’s be straight here – the symptom checker in MyHealthCheck provides an opinion concerning your health and not a diagnosis. Yet, we are using the best means available to evaluate your symptoms as precisely as possible. That includes the best-in-class artificial intelligence and a vast database of medical knowledge. Even though MyHealthCheck doesn’t replace the expertise of a doctor so it should not be used in case of emergency or for serious health issues.
This is nothing unusual. That’s why you can indicate as many symptoms as you need when filing out the initial questionnaire. And please do so because the questionnaire will then try to refine the assessment by asking you more detailed questions about all your symptoms.
Even though our symptom checker makes use of the best-in-class artificial intelligence, medical research and medical resources, it can never replace a real doctor. Its aim is merely to help you understand your condition. Should you need diagnosis, treatment or medical opinion, you can schedule a call with a medical professional directly from MyHealthCheck or you can consult another physician or a health professional.
If you cannot find your symptom, you can try to point out to the trouble area on the picture of a body that’s part of symptom selection in the application. It is also a good idea to check our comprehensive list of symptoms MyHealthCheck covers. The chance is that you might be actually talking about something that MyHealthCheck covers, yet we are using a different name.
In case you still cannot find your symptoms, do consult a health professional. We hope that this would happen very rarely but in case it does, please write to us at info@myhealthcheck.ch to help us update and improve our medical database. By doing so, you will also help other users with similar issues.
